Syarikat Perusahaan Majubina Sdn. Bhd. (SPMSB) commenced operations in 1997 as a Bumiputera status enterprise, accredited with PKK Class A, CIDB Grade G7, and recognized by the Ministry of Finance and Petronas in both Downstream and Upstream Sectors. The establishment of SPMSB marked a strategic endeavor aimed at enhancing productivity, fostering proactive innovation, and refining organizational management, particularly concerning project execution and financial administration.

The company's roots can be traced back to February 1985, when it embarked on welding works, encompassing the supply and installation of iron frames for esteemed entities such as Petronas, Shell, and CALTEX oil stations, alongside factories. Additionally, SPMSB ventured into supplying oil tanks for Petronas, FINA/Petmal, and Polyflo Sdn. Bhd., and installing 'pressed steel water tanks'. By 1991, SPMSB attained PKK registration in Class D and was appointed as a Panel of Contractors for the Maintenance of Petronas Stations in Kelantan.

In 1998, SPMSB expanded its scope to include river and estuary deepening projects, commencing with the Pantai Sri Tujuh endeavor in Tumpat, Kelantan. Notably, Petronas entrusted SPMSB with the construction of Petronas stations nationwide, designating them as a Panel Contractor for maintenance undertakings on Petronas Stations for a three-year term spanning from 1997 to 2000 across two Petronas regions, namely the Northern Region (Perlis, Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Perak) and the Eastern Region (Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang).
